Financial support

NDIS and continence products

Continence products and supports may be funded through NDIS If your incontinence is directly related to your disability.

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) provides funding for people with permanent and significant disabilities to access supports that help them participate in everyday life.

Eligibility

You may be eligible for support if you have a permanent disability that significantly affects your ability to take part in daily activities.

If your incontinence is directly related to your disability, your continence products and supports may be funded through NDIS.

How to apply

  1. Check your eligibility using the NDIS eligibility checklist
  2. Visit the NDIS website to start your application
  3. Work with a local area coordinator or early childhood partner to gather evidence. Include information about incontinence if it relates to your disability. You will also need an assessment by a nurse continence specialist – the National Continence Helpline 1800 33 00 66 can help you find a continence service near you. You can also search for a service provider near you in our directory.
  4. If eligible, your support will be included in your NDIS plan.
