Special interest groups

Our 6 special interest groups (SIGs) provide learning opportunities and advocacy and are each led by a committee.

Continence Health Australia currently has 6 Special Interest Groups (SIGs) that host events and webinars tailored to the needs of their members:

  • Physiotherapy: advancing continence care through physiotherapy education, research, rehabilitation and clinical practice.
  • Paediatric: improving continence outcomes for children, young people and their families.
  • Disability: promoting inclusive continence care and better outcomes for people living with disability.
  • Aged and Ageing: supporting excellence in continence care for older people across community and aged-care settings.
  • Perinatal: focusing on continence and pelvic health during pregnancy and after birth.
  • Sexual Health: exploring the connection between continence, pelvic health and sexual wellbeing.

How to join a special interest group

Each member of Continence Health Australia is able to join a Special Interest Group and is provided one free subscription to a Special Interest Group of their choice upon joining or renewing their membership.

What members can access

These groups provide year-round learning opportunities for members on niche topics in their respective area, often at low or no cost to its subscribers.

Members of Special Interest Groups are led by their respective committees members can be called on to contribute to advocacy pieces in their areas.
