About Sally Pang Rippingale
Sally Pang was a visionary nurse and highly respected leader in continence health. She was appointed NSW’s first funded Nurse Continence Advisor under the Home and Community Care program at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, where she worked tirelessly to deliver education and site visits across health and community settings.
She founded and chaired the Link Up Support Group, fostering multidisciplinary collaboration in continence health, and later received a Churchill Fellowship to study international continence care models in the USA and UK.
From the early 1990s, Sally played a pivotal role in establishing the NSW branch of the Continence Foundation of Australia (now Continence Health Australia), with a strong focus on professional development, networking and fundraising.
Following her retirement from nursing in 1993, Sally remained deeply involved with the organisation for decades, contributing to its growth, profile and influence well into the 21st century. Her dedication helped shape continence nursing and health promotion in NSW, and her legacy continues through this scholarship.
