Gender inclusivity statement

References to ‘women’ or ‘men’ include anyone with similar health needs, regardless of sex at birth or gender identity.

Continence Health Australia recognises that the words we use can impact how different people feel seen and heard and, in turn, how they engage in conversations about health.

Use of the words ‘woman’, ‘women’, or ‘girls’ is intended to include all people who may have similar health needs, including people assigned female at birth and anyone who identifies as a woman, regardless of their sex at birth.

Similarly, the words ‘man’, ‘men’ or ‘boys’ refer to people who may have similar health needs, including people assigned male at birth and anyone who identifies as a man, regardless of their sex at birth.
