BINS4Blokes
How to find and request incontinence product disposal bins in male public toilets.
BINS4Blokes is our national awareness and advocacy campaign calling for disposal bins for continence products to be installed in male public toilets across Australia.
Why we need BINS4Blokes
More than 2.4 million men* and boys* in Australia live with urinary or bowel incontinence. Yet for many, there are very few, and sometimes no, appropriate places to dispose of continence products.
This creates barriers to getting out, taking part in community life and feeling confident in everyday activities.
At Continence Health Australia, our values centre on dignity, inclusion and equitable access. We believe everyone in Australia should have access to safe, discreet disposal options.

* References to ‘women’ or ‘men’ include anyone with similar health needs, regardless of sex at birth or gender identity. Read our Gender inclusivity statement.
The aims of the program
Through this program, we aim to:
- Increase the number of bins in male public toilets across Australia
- Encourage men and boys to seek support and advice
- Build understanding of how common incontinence is and the impact it has on daily life
We’re calling on all organisations with public toilets including local Councils, shopping centres and sporting stadiums to install at least one disposal bin in one cubicle of every public male toilet facility.
This simple step will help give men and boys experiencing incontinence the freedom to get out and about.

Advocating for a simple solution
Meet Jake. In this video, he explains that it’s difficult to dispose of continence products when he’s out and about, which can stop him from doing the things he enjoys.
Now, BINS4Blokes is giving people like him more freedom.
